Mr. Laffin has over 30 years of experience in the oil & gas industry, primarily as a lawyer, but also in the business economics, reservoir engineering and land departments of a multi-national oil company. He is currently a senior partner with Blake, Cassels & Graydon LLP where he provides legal and corporate advice to several oil & gas companies ranging from junior exploration companies to senior integrated companies. Mr. Laffin is a director on the boards of several international companies and has extensive experience with a variety of business issues, including corporate strategy, merger and acquisition transactions, compensation and corporate governance matters. He has also advised many other boards through his capacity as legal counsel.

Robert J. Dales

Mr. Dales has 35 years of experience in the oil and gas industry and has held various administrative and management positions. He is currently a director of Kelt Exploration Ltd., a public oil and gas exploration company, and president and director of Valhalla Ventures Inc., a private investment company. Mr. Dales is also the president and a director of Drako Capital Corp. a TSX Venture Exchange listed company as well as a former director of numerous public and private entities. Mr. Dales previously worked in the operations department of Panartic Oils Ltd., a private oil and gas exploration company. He also served as the president, chief executive officer and a director of Resolution Energy Inc. and the secretary-treasurer and a director of Energy North Inc. In addition, Mr. Dales was the president and a director of Desco Resources Ltd. (now Peyto Energy Trust).
Mr. Dales secured a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Calgary and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Alberta.

Mr. Kirton currently serves on the boards of directors of one publicly-traded company, Essential Energy Services Ltd. (TSX) and two not-for-profit organizations, The Canadian Investor Protection Fund and Quest Theatre Society.
Mr. Kirton retired in 2004 after a thirty-eight year career with KPMG LLP, the last 28 years as a Partner with the firm. Subsequent to his retirement he has served on the boards of six other publicly-traded entities, in addition to the current one noted above: Builders Energy Services Trust, Canexus Corporation, Gran Tierra Energy Inc., Grande Cache Coal Corporation, Innicor Subsurface Technologies Inc. and Result Energy Inc.
